U.S. Version Of Nokia N95 Approved By FCC!!

Really busy days for the folks over at FCC labs, mainly because Nokia preparing lot of new models and pushes them to work really hard.
After approving Nokia N95 8GB before its official release that should be at the big Nokia event in London 29th August, they have approved another Nokia N95 clone and actually confirms North America version of the flagship Nokia phone, recently spotted Nokia N95 US.


The handset has been making waves since its images were recently leaked online, especially because it brings support for the US 3G networks and fixes some crucial downsides of its predecessor and cause lot of complains from the disappointed European users.

The FCC website (US regulator) currently has some information about the Nokia N95 8GB on its website. Hardware changes include a reworked back section with the removal of the camera lens cover to allow for a bigger battery. The top slide media keys are now slightly raised and the phone itself is black. There are also some interesting hints about the software in the manual with references to N-Gage gaming and the Nokia Music store. Read on for more.

Live pics of a new Sony Ericsson Cybershot

n the Internet you can come across some pics of a new Cybershot phone by Sony Ericsson. The source says the device depicted below is the successor of the K850i phone featuring 3x optical zoom. In fact, the front part of it resembles the K850i (we see square holes for buttons), at the same time the rear side looks like an update of the K810i.

The new member of the Cybershot-family seems to be equipped with a 5-megapixel camera and xenon flash. Thus, it can be a direct rival to Samsung G800 and Nokia N82 (both devices haven’t been officially announced yet).

There are some hot rumors on LG KU990 phone, which is supposed to be an heir of LG Prada. The new phone comes with a touch sensitive display and has no keyboard. Taking into account the picture, the device will be available from Vodafone in the US. In addition we’ve got the list of LG KU990’ detailed specs. However the info hasn’t been officially confirmed.

HTC Shift: two OS on one device

Early this year HTC announced its ultra mobile PC HTC Shift. The device features a sliding and flipping 7” screen and a QWERTY-keyboard. According to the previous info the UMPC would be powered by Windows Vista. Now we’ve got the info that HTC Shift can also work on Windows Mobile 6 Professional. This info has been shared by Hugo Ortega in his blog.

addition, the source mentions UMPC Shangri-La X9500 with two operating systems: Windows Vista and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. According to Ortega, who tested the device, HTC Shift can last for 3 hours offline on Windows Vista Business and over 5 days on Windows Mobile.

Sony Ericsson officially introduced a new handset Cyber-shot K770i. The company speaks about its product as an elegant handset (14.5 mm thick), but introduces it as a digital camera and photo album.

The new K770i has Truffle Brown color. It doesn’t lose competition to a digital still camera – it allows printing photos of high quality on an A4 paper. The built-in camera features strong backlight for photo and video capture indoors. The Sony Cyber-shot lineup and the K770i itself stand out for simplicity in use. The user just has to move aside the protective shutter, aim at the object and snap pictures.

The K770 (GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900, UMTS 2100) Truffle Brown will come out this fall.
